• Style Meets Second Chances: Big Neighborhood, Give a Beat, and The T-Shirt Company at Laguna Beach L

Laguna Beach, CA — May 31, 2025 What happens when hometown roots, social justice, and creative storytelling collide? You get a collaboration that wears its heart on its sleeve—literally.

Big Neighborhood, the traveling podcast-meets-apparel-brand founded by Michael Etter and Joe Barrios, is teaming up with nonprofit powerhouse Give a Beat and local legend The T-Shirt Company at Laguna Beach for a limited-edition drop of co-branded t-shirts and ‘neighborhoodies’ that do more than just look good. They give back to the community.

This inclusive “Laguna Beach” collection—featuring the iconic Big Neighborhood chairs—launches at a community celebration on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 3–8 PM at The Laguna Beach T-Shirt Company (387 S. Coast Hwy, Laguna Beach, CA). The event will include live interviews, as part of a “roadcast” session (Big Neighborhood’s signature podcast-on-wheels format), and local stories from voices that don’t usually get the mic.

    Here’s what makes it special:

    ● 50% of profits go directly to Give a Beat, whose mission is to use music as a tool for healing, education, and second chances for individuals impacted by incarceration.

    ● The collection is rooted in real relationships—Give a Beat founder and T-Shirt Co. owner Lauren Segal went to high school in the ‘80s with Big Neighborhood’s founders. Now, they’re coming full circle to support something bigger than themselves.

    ● It’s local, intentional, and deeply personal—everything fast fashion isn’t.
“This collaboration feels like a return to our roots,” said Segal. “It’s about community, conscience, and reminding people that where they spend their money matters—especially when it supports main street businesses, artists, and causes that create change.”
