Friendship Shelter Welcomes Constance Callan and Kimberly Pollard to Board of Directors

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. — July 23, 2026 — Friendship Shelter is pleased to announce the appointment of Constance “Connie” Callan and Kimberly Pollard to its Board of Directors. As the organization continues to expand its efforts to end homelessness across South Orange County, these two accomplished leaders bring valuable expertise, diverse perspectives, and a shared commitment to creating meaningful community impact.

Connie Callan is a South Orange County philanthropist and community leader dedicated to advancing initiatives that improve the lives of people, animals, and the environment. Passionate about addressing the challenges facing vulnerable children and families, homelessness, and food insecurity, she has devoted significant time and resources to supporting nonprofit organizations throughout Southern California.

Her philanthropic leadership includes involvement with Friendship Shelter, Harvesters, Second Harvest Food Bank, Unconditional Rescue, Cinderella's Closet OC, CASA of Orange County, Miracles for Kids, Illumination Foundation, Rady Children's Health, The Chadwick Center for Children & Families, The Confident Closet, Alex Morgan Foundation, Ashland House, Oceana, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Sonance Cares, Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, and many other organizations. She previously served on the board of Phoenix House.

Connie believes philanthropy is most powerful when compassion is paired with action. Whether leading fundraising efforts, connecting people with causes, or helping organizations expand their reach, she is committed to building authentic relationships and creating lasting impact. Through her passion for visual storytelling and community engagement, she uses her voice to raise awareness and inspire support for the organizations she champions.

Kimberly Pollard is an accomplished senior executive with more than 16 years of experience leading large-scale homeowners association operations and managing complex master-planned community portfolios. As Senior Vice President at Seabreeze

Management, she provides strategic and operational leadership, cultivates strong relationships with clients and boards of directors, develops high-performing teams, and leads organizational improvement and client retention initiatives.

Kimberly brings extensive expertise in governance, operations, relationship management, and organizational leadership. She holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from George Washington University. Her strategic perspective and collaborative leadership style will be instrumental as Friendship Shelter continues to strengthen partnerships and expand its impact throughout the region.

Together, Connie and Kimberly bring exceptional leadership, strategic insight, and a shared commitment to strengthening organizations and creating positive change. Their guidance will help advance Friendship Shelter's mission of ending homelessness through compassionate, innovative, and effective solutions.
