Celebrate National Public Lands Day with Laguna Canyon Foundation

[Laguna Beach, CA, August 31, 2026] Celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, September 26, 2026 with Laguna Canyon Foundation by dedicating a day to land stewardship in our shared public lands. National Public Lands Day is the nation's largest single-day volunteer event for public lands throughout the country.

Local events will be hosted at three locations throughout the day, including at OC Parks’ Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park. Volunteers of all experience levels are invited to lend a hand caring for these protected wildlands through activities focused on habitat restoration and native plant nursery efforts. Advance registration is required for these free events:

•                          Land Tending with LCF – Berns Canyon Preserve

•                          Keep It Wild – Aliso & Wood Canyons

•                          Keep It Wild – Laguna Coast

Participants should wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, sun protection, and bring a reusable water bottle. Carpooling is strongly encouraged due to limited space and to minimize disruption to the wildlands and wildlife.

Laguna Canyon Foundation respectfully acknowledges that these events are held on the traditional lands of the Acjachemen (Juaneño) and Tongva (Gabrielino) peoples, who have stewarded this land throughout the generations.
