            • KX 93.5 On-Air Interactive Candidate Forum

On Monday Oct. 24th from 6 to 8 p.m., Laguna Beach City Council hopefuls Verna Rollinger and Judie Mancuso will join incumbents Bob Whalen and Mayor Steve Dicterow live on the air as KX 93.5 broadcasts an in-depth debate on a wide range of topics of interest to residents of and visitors to The City of Laguna Beach.

For the first time, members of the public will be able to join the discussion by calling or texting the station’s studio line at 949-715-5936 toward the end of the forum.

“We’re honored that the candidates chose our medium for the final debate of the season - we hope to reach folks who wouldn’t necessarily go to a formal council meeting,” said Founder and Program Director Tyler Russell. “This way anyone can listen and be involved from the comfort of home.”

Moderators will be Billy Fried, weekly columnist for “Laguna Beach Independent” and host of KX 93.5’s “Laguna Talks” Thursday nights as well as “Righty” Jim Kennedy who co-hosts “Laguna Roundtable,” the station’s weekly politics show Sunday mornings.

The forum will be live on 93.5 FM and www.KX935.com, as well as the station’s smartphone applications. An on-demand podcast will also be available at the website after the broadcast.
