KX 93.5, Laguna's only FM radio station, is bringing another classic band to Laguna Beach on Nov. 1st. Iron Butterfly, who sold 30-million copies of the 1968 anthem "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," will rewind time at Laguna Playhouse with a laser light show and a rocking set.
Opening the evening will be Professor Columbo, a Huntington Beach-based garage rock band and KX 93.5 favorite.
"We're talking about a band that basically started heavy rock 'n' roll," said KX 93.5 Founder and Program Director Tyler Russell. "50 years later, the band still includes original members and absolutely brings down the house. Iron Butterfly is a must see!"
The current drummer in Iron Butterfly is local Ray Weston, who can be seen performing with KX personality and musician Jason Feddy at Hotel Laguna on Saturday nights.
The bar is sponsored by Tito's Vodka and will feature unique drink creations. 100% of the cocktail and ticket proceeds benefit non-profit KX 93.5.
