DESCRIPTION:The Laguna Beach Garden Club will host Robin Stockwell\, succulent innovator and expert\, to\n\nspeak at the November Garden Club Meeting. The LBGC offers speakers monthly at their\n\nmeetings to educate and promote a love for gardening\, conservation and ecology. The timeliness\n\nof a succulent speaker couldn't be better\, due to the increased fire risk and dry Santa Ana\n\nconditions Laguna Beach experiences in November.\n\nMr. Stockwell has been growing succulents professionally since 1973. He understands the\n\nsuperior functionality of succulents and their beauty. As a showman\, Robin has revolutionized\n\nvertical gardening with succulents\, creating mural systems for small installations and mounting\n\ncollaborative huge exhibitions for the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show. The succulent\n\nGlobe\, the centerpiece of the 2012 SF Garden Show\, took over a year of planning and included\n\n30\,000 plants. He's been a frequent presenter at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show\, Sunset\n\nCelebration\, and San Francisco Flower & Garden Show.\n\nRobin dedicates his life to encouraging the use of these plants and works with professionals and\n\nthe general public to better understand them. As an innovator\, writer and speaker\, he has inspired\n\naudiences in the joy of gardening with succulent plants. Please stop by the meeting on\n\nNovember 8th to learn more about succulents. New members are always welcome!\n\n\n\nThe Laguna Beach Garden Club meets on the second Friday of every month\, September through\n\nMay at the Laguna Presbyterian Church\, 415 Forest Avenue\, Laguna Beach\, CA in Tankersley\n\nHall. 9:30 am Social\, 10:00 am General Meeting\, Public is welcome\, there is no charge for\n\nguests on their first visit. Before or after the meeting\, please browse the outdoor "Garden\n\nBoutique" where donated garden-related items and plants can be purchased at "dirt-cheap"\n\nprices.
